Waste Log has been awarded the Recycling Project of the Year at the Boğaziçi Environment Awards, organized for the fifth time this year by Boğaziçi University students, with its Zero Waste Market project. Bringing citizens and local governments together within a single digital system, the Zero Waste Market model offers an innovative approach that encourages source separation and makes recycling processes measurable and traceable. This award, granted through the evaluations of expert and independent jury members along with public voting, stands as a strong indicator of Waste Log’s sustainability-driven and impact-focused solutions.

Kazandıran Peynirler project, launched in collaboration with Muratbey Gıda, transforms post-consumption packaging waste into a value-creating process through AI-powered verification. By reporting the packaging of the Muratbey products they consume via the Waste Log “Atık Bildir” mobile application, users earn carbon points—making recycling more measurable, accessible, and rewarding.

Waste Log, in collaboration with Danet, has launched the “Yeşil Zeka Project,” which brings post-consumer packaging waste into the recycling process through AI-powered verification and a reward system. Users can scan the barcode of the Danet products they consume and upload a photo of the packaging via the Waste Log “Atık Bildir” mobile application to submit their recycling activity. By collecting Carbon Points, they can earn discounts on Danet Online. This model offers an innovative recycling experience that makes environmental impact measurable while strengthening brands’ sustainability communication.

With this year's motto "The Next Wave", İTÜ Çekirdek's Big Bang Startup Challange made waves in the entrepreneurial ecosystem for the 13th time with record-breaking achievements. Among the top five startups that impressed investors and earned widespread acclaim for their innovative technologies was Waste Log.

72% of consumers state that they purchase more environmentally friendly products compared to five years ago. This shift highlights the increasing responsibility of brands to offer sustainable products by engaging in sustainability focused initiatives.

As part of World Environment Day on June 5, Edirne Municipality launched an important project by opening the Zero Waste Market. Citizens who download and register on the mobile app Waste Log will earn points by bringing in recyclable waste items. In return for the points they collect, they will be able to receive cleaning products, sunflower oil, toys, and books from the Zero Waste Market.
